Oorsil Xzarja, Inc.

Overview

Oorsil Xzarja is an Oorsil Enterprises subsidiary based in the Xzarjan System.  Its corporate activities include administration of Xzarja's multi-space dock, oversight of trade between Alaris II and Xzarja, and security for Utopia Spaceliner.  It also oversees a training initiative, maintains an Oorsil Enterprises branch office in the system, and serves in an ambassadorial relationship with the Xzarjan government.

 

Genesis Space Dock

Oorsil Xzarja administers operations on board the system's orbiting multi-space dock.  In addition to serving as the system's commercial terminal, the corporation offers repair and modification services at a competitive rate.  In return for its management of operations, Oorsil Xzarja receives 30% of the net income from all activities on board the station.

Nautilus Trade Cooperative

Alaris II purchases large amounts of foodstuffs from Xzarja, both for its own purposes and for sale to the planets of the Greater Javin;  returning ships carry cargoes of high technology to satisfy the demand for such on Xzarja.  Oorsil Xzarja oversees this trade through a joint enterprise, the Nautilus Trade Cooperative, which makes use of both Oorsil Enterprises's fleet of transports, operating under the auspices of Javin Freight Systems, and several of Xzarja's own commercial vessels to move the various goods from point to point.

The Nautilus Trade Cooperative currently has access to two of Oorsil Enterprises's three Action VI Transports, along with its full complement of light freighters.

GM Note:  At this time, with the Planetary Development system inactive, this trading serves only to satisfy the imports and exports of several worlds from a story point of view;  there is currently no actual income generated by any party.

Utopia Spaceliner

Oorsil Xzarja manages operations on board the spaceliner Utopia, which is owned and operated by the government of Xzarja.  The corporation subcontracts to another Oorsil Enterprises subsidiary, Heritage Security, to provide security officers, and it also operates a pair of escorts that travel with the liner.  In return for its management of the enterprise, Oorsil Xzarja receives 30% of the net income generated by the spaceliner.

GM Note:  As with the Trade Cooperative, Utopia Spaceliner currently does not generate an income.  The 30% provision is for if it ever does.

Xzarjan Training Initiative

Oorsil Xzarja provides bulk training to Xzarjan personnel at the Oorsil Law Enforcement Academy for the corporation's minimum markup, a sweetheart deal reserved for very few organizations in the galaxy.  In addition, to help secure its own operations in the system, Oorsil Xzarja provides OLEA-trained Starfighter Pilots at cost.
