Nestled deep in the Outer Rim just inside the Yarith sector, near Bespin and the Anoat sector, lies the Alaris system.  On the surface of the system's second world, a fortress rises above the surrounding light jungle.  This is Oorsil Castle, familial home of the Lords of House Oorsil for over forty generations and is now the central hub of Oorsil Enterprises.  Here, in independent space beyond the reach of the feuding governments of the galaxy, the Direx Board meets and plans the future of the corporation, guiding the fortunes of the nascent interstellar conglomerate.

The castle itself is spacious and comfortable.  Deep within lay the private apartments and office of Lord Alric Oorsil, adjoined to those of his faithful advisors that comprise the Direx Board.  Due to the high level of security on the corporation's homeworld, visitors are restricted quite carefully; most vessels are not permitted to land on the surface, but are instead required to dock with the orbiting defense platform Alaris II Prime, which stands guard over the castle from orbit.  Most of those permitted into the protective shielding surrounding the compound are similarly restricted to the landing facilities and the guest sections of the castle.

The Alaris system is located roughly two days from Bespin;  some traffic also chooses to pass through Anoat Sector's capital at Gerrenthum rather than enter Imperial space, although the trip takes an additional day on this route.  Interstellar phenomena almost double what would otherwise be a similar journey to the nearest world in the Yarith sector;  from here, it takes five days to reach Lutrillia.
