Capsule: A passionate woman of unsurpassed beauty, Lady Oorsil is accustomed to only the finest things in life. She is rarely seen dressed in anything but a finely tailored gown of exquisite workmanship, always cut in the very latest of Core styles. Born on Soterios in the Colonies region's Tapani Sector, she was educated in culture and etiquette and groomed for public service from an early age. After several years as an official delegate of House Melantha to the sector capital, she found lucrative and satisfying employment as a cultural attaché to the Imperial bureaucracy, a position which enabled her to advise Sector Command officials on the varied species and customs of the galaxy. During her tenure, she was proud of her record of helping to modify the Empire's ingrained theory of High Human Culture, which she saw as distasteful and contrary to the general welfare of the Empire's citizens. After leaving Imperial service, she met Lord Alric Oorsil during a vacation to Cloud City, and the two instantly fell in love. They were married soon after. Due to her impressive record of service and her unique ability to work closely with the Chancery, Lord Oorsil nominated Ariela to serve as the Javin Free State's first Minister of Culture; she was quickly confirmed by a unanimous vote of the Senate.
